AVD Manager, Sdk Manager, missing , greyed out in Android Studio

Prob: Avd Manager or Sdk Manager is  greyed out or is missing from Tools Menu in android Studio.

Explanation:  This generally happens when Android Studio is not able identify the android sdk installation in the machine. This could happen if Android Studio is launched in non-Administrator mode.

Soln: Close and relaunch Android Studio in administrator mode. You will see a green notification on top right saying "android framework is identified" Click on the configure link on that notification. The AS will start configuring the android sdk . After some time the buttons would be enabled/visible.

  4. I'm using win 10, Android Studio 3.0.1, AVD looks gray. I tried to open it from the directory, it opens but the "target device" column cannot be accessible in other to create AVD. Also, I've tried it in the administrator mood yet still it doesn't work. Please, help me.
