How to use internet on your laptop through samsung galaxy using bluetooth

Today I'm gonna tell you how to use your samsung galxy  android phone's internet on your laptop using bluetoth..

Steps
 1. Enable your favourite data usage plan on your mobile .
 2. Install bluetooth tethering software in your mobile phone like bluedun or pdanet. Bluedun in trial mode
     allows you to keep a connection for 5 minutes after which you will have to reconnect.
3. Make sure enable packet data option is checked on your phone.
    Steps to ensure that: Go yo Settings ->Wireless and networks-> mobile networks.
4.Start the bluedun or pdanet software on your phone, it will ask your permission to switch on bluetooth.(if not already switched on)
5. On your laptop (windows 7)   Add your phone on on to the bluetooth devices list .
     Steps to do that:
     a. switch on bluetooth on your laptop.
     b Click on the bluetooth icon in the system tray at right bottom corner.OR go to Control panel -> hardware and sound-> devices and printers-> bluetooth devices.
     c. Click on add a device , windows will search for your mobile and then click on next.
6. Rt click on your newly added phone icon and then select dial up networking option.
7. It will ask to create a new dial up connection . So create a connection.
8. While dialling you will have to dial a number , this number will be given to you by your mobile service provider for your data plan. Check out in their website . Fot vodafone it is '*99#'.
9. User id or password is not required so leave it blank.
10. Dial the connection , you cud see your laptop connecting to your phone and then your phone sending recieving data.
11. Thats it! Open a browser and start browsing on your laptop!
   

   

Chrome blocks an outdated flash player plugin and asks you to update

Problem :

Chrome pisses you off by blocking your flash player plugin saying it is outdated and needs to be updated or asks you to "run this time"

Solution:

1. Chrome tries to push you to  update your plugin by doing this.
2. To stop this, type "chrome:plugins" on the address bar of chrome. and hit enter.
3. You will get a list of installed plugins, go to the flash plugin and disable.
4. Try to open the webpage which was trying to run the flash player.
5. You will see that the flash player does not run and there is no prompting message.
6. Go back the plugins list and enable the flash player plugin back again.
7. There you fixed it ! By disabling and re-enabling the plugin it automatically got updated.
8. You can open the webpage and it runs fine now.

How to make your computer a wake up alarm

You can use your computer/laptop to use as a wake up alarm. You can set the
alarm at night and set it to play your favorite song list in the morning
and hibernate it. It will resume from hibernate and start playing your
favorite song list in the morning as you wake up.


1. Create a playlist of your favourite songs in VLC or any other
application. Recommended: "AAj ki Raat.." from film Don2 it has that stupid
Shah Rukh Khan. Save the playlist and note the location of playlist on your
computer.

2.. Create a task in the task scheduler.
a. Go to Start menu -> All program-> Accessories -> System tools-> Task
Scheduler.
b. On the right hand panel select 'Create Basic Task'
c. In the mid panel you will get a window to fill up the details, Give
your task a suitable name eg 'wake ur a** up' click next.
d Select trigger as daily.Click Next.
e. Give it a start date like from next day and a start time when you
want to wake up.Select recur every 1 days.Click Next.
f. Select the the option 'Start a program' in this panel. Click Next.
g. In this section browse to your song playing VLC application exe file
The Application exe file would generally be at the program files folder in
C drive.
In the Add arguments section copy paste the exact location of the
playlist file (.xspf file) that you have created. Click next.
h. Check the details here and click Finish.

3.. Change the settings of the task.

a. You have created the task in the previous step. Right click on that
task from the list of tasks. And click on the properties.
b. Go to the conditions tab. In the power section uncheck the box saying
"Start the task only if your computer is on AC Power". Also select the
checkbox saying "wake up the computer to run this task".
c. Click on ok. and close the task scheduler.

3. Connect your computer to a music system. Make sure the music system is
on (sadly no other option).Hibernate the computer. Make sure you are not
shutting down the computer.

4. Go to Sleep.


* You can use any other application instead of VLC here with the same
steps. But not Windows media player as it will open the application and
load the playlist and then wait for you to click on the play button. So you
will have use another alarm to wake up then click on the play button then
go back to sleep and then again wake up listening to the music. Thats
dumb., thats microsoft.

How to set a song as ringtone in Samsung Galaxy Phone.

1. Play the song using music player application on your Samsung Galaxy phone. 2. In the bottom left corner of your handset (below the display scree) there is an addional options button. Touch that button. 3. You willl find a list of options in the screen selet the middle lower option which says 'set as ringtone'. ________________________________

How to stop internet data usage in Samsung Galaxy phone

1. Go to settings->Wireless and networks->Mobile Networks. 2. Disable Use packet data option. 3. Thats it! you are done. Whenever you want to sync your email accounts. You can do a one time time sync and disable it back. * I have explained it using Samsung Y model, but I guess it should work on most of the similar models. ________________________________
